his judgment more than ever, don't you think? romney and ryan didn't lose in urban areas. not only there, they lost among women and young voters, and they lost by a large margin. there's another revelation from the ryan interview. he doesn't believe the gop policy has anything to do with the loss. >> i think we ran a big campaign. we made a campaign about big ideas and gave the country a clear choice. i respect the fact that the process is done, that the president won the race, and i congratulate him on the race. i don't think we lost it on budget issues. on medicare, we didn't lose it on those issues. >> on one hand he says that they offered the country a very clear choice, but then he claims they didn't lose the election on budget issues. congressman ryan is wrong. in exit polls 60% favor tax rates increasing either for everyone or for those making more than $250,000 a year. as for urban areas? romney and ryan lost. there is an obvious connection to the republican policy. african-american, latino, young voters, they simply do not buy ryan's approach, and that is every man for him

theory, a conspiracy theory about libya. mitt romney tried to elaborate it in the second debate. he got slapped down. couldn't even talk about it in the third debate. the more we learn about this, the more we learn that this was a very standard procedure in terms of reaction. you put out there what you can put out there. you don't put out there things that would reveal sources and methods of intelligence or minimize the chances that you would catch someone. one of the things that's most disturbing about this, ed, once again, you have the republicans going after an african-american. we saw it with eric holder, we're seeing it with susan rice. it's the same old politics they've played since 1968 in the southern strong and it's not about national security, it's about politics. >> well, let's throw in shirley sherrod's name, and also, there have been a number of others out there as well. tara, are mccain and graham not giving up on libya because they're afraid of getting primaried? are they trying to go hard right to keep people away from them? >> well, i think this absolutely has 100%

the law. they couldn't stand obama care. when that didn't work out, they believed that mitt romney would become president and he would repeal it. that didn't work out either. so the affordable care act remains the law of the land and now the same republican governors are left scrambling. and today was a big day. today was the day that states were supposed to let the obama administration know whether or not they would be forming their own health insurance exchanges. here we go. it's a component to the law. it will allow households and small businesses shop for private insurance. and many states have dragged their feet on the deadline, perhaps expecting a different outcome to the presidential election. they requested an extension, states now have until mid-december to make their decision. if a state chooses not to set up an exchange, it can either share responsibility with the federal government or let the fed's handle it completely in their state. you'd think the conservative governors around the country would denounce the idea because of federal control that they would want to set
